Agile Talent Attraction

Agile Talent Attraction

Recruitment is simple, right?

Companies have a fantastic value proposition and candidates will give anything to join for this incredible offering!

I know it’s hard to believe, but it doesn’t quite work like this. For one thing, this is an extremely rigid approach. We are dealing with top talent here. These are individuals who know their worth and have a career map in their head. They have a solid comp & benchmark, ideal location, desired organisation design…and the list goes on. With every pre-established factor, the chance of moving roles narrows.

As you can see, talent acquisition has become quite complex.

Each candidate wants to move for a wide range of reasons. However, a strong recruiter will effectively capture data and listen to candidates’ needs. They spend this time identifying trends and industry commonalties. A strong recruiter will study specific organisations and even geographical locations to better understand the juncture a candidate is at in their career.

At this point, an organisation can align a value proposition for each candidate pool. From this bulk of data, they can then generate interest by targeting a certain market with a custom value proposition. Hopefully, they can even reach that market before candidates truly understand what they’re looking for. This is the key to reaching a passive candidate pool.

Understanding the data-driven key drivers behind career moves and subsequently aligning your organisation’s value proposition to these drivers is an agile and necessary way to attract top talent.

Capture it, align to it!
