A Sit-Down Chat with Head of Talent Strategy Niall Gleeson
So Nbxtalent are a year in business. What’s your initial thoughts on that achievement?
It’s been an extraordinary year for everybody across the globe.
Speaking on a business level, we learnt something very quickly when goal setting for nbxTalent - success is very subjective and means different things to different organisations. So to compare ourselves with other recruitment firms on the market wasn’t part of our plan. We made sure we understood our own trajectory.

We feel as a company that we have been successful in our first year. We have hit targets, built a strong team, formed great relationships with clients, ran robust recruitment processes and developed talent strategies for our fantastic clients whilst providing a positive experience for all our candidates.
This obviously has come with challenges and bumps along the way. The key is transparency, agility, adapting to changing circumstances and sticking together as a team ensuring that we challenge ourselves to continually improve.
Have you a proudest moment from the last year?
The design of our logo and the launch of our website nbxtalent.com are significant moments which made things in the first few months feel very real.
A key moment was landing our very first hire. For me, this moment said ‘things have taken shape and that clients appreciate our true value’. Having a team share the same vision for the organisation as you is a huge one – these guys really drive the business forward day to day and have such ambition as to where we can take it.
Tell me a little MORE about the team...
I am extremely lucky that I have Colin leading the delivery side and Mark as a recruitment marketer building our presence. Everyday we are learning from one another. They are a skilled, intelligent, committed and a motivated team who have organically developed a great culture. We will continue to add great people to nbxTalent in the future.
WHAT IS THE COMPANY’S Plans for 2020 and beyond?
We plan to continue to connect business with exceptional talent; continue to develop our client/candidate relationships through our customer centric approach and add value through our dedicated talent partnerships.
Ultimately, we aim to build a great recruitment business and enjoy this journey we are on.
